Closter Diner Chicken Parm Sandwich
Being a diner, there is decent food, a decent atmosphere, at decent prices. However, there is a lot of controversy over the Closter Diner. Some believe that it is one of the worse diners in the area, with overpriced, bad food. However, the town staple, that is believed to be on the decline, is finally put to the test.
So, at a price of $8.95, i was given this sandwich. Based on the first glance, I was excited to see what this sandwich would bring. I took the first bite and immediately burned my mouth. The sauce was so hot, I had to let the sandwich sit for some time until I was able to comfortably eat it. As I was watching the sandwich cool off, my eyes observed the size of the sandwich, and I was disappointed. It was not that big, not filling me up at the conclusion of my meal. So, I continued to eat the sandwich and discovered that the chicken was nice and crispy, and the cheese was nicely melted, but sadly missing a broiled look. The sauce is where this sandwich went wrong. It was a little bit sweet, but overall lacked any personality and some spice. Even though I will probably order this sandwich again, it does not rate too high with a 6.4/10.
